How long will you wait around if a streamer doesn't acknowledge your comments??
@TheRavenArmed 15 minutes after that I'm gone
@TheRavenArmed Depends on chat activity. If my comment sits on the screen without scrolling for two minutes, I'm out. If it doesn't, I'll just assume they didn't see it.
@TheRavenArmed A response from the streamer is not owed. If the idea is to hop in and try to be the focus of the streamer's attention, you're doing it wrong. Enjoy the content, enjoy the chat. If you become part of the community, you'll naturally get more from the streamer, because they see it.
After 2 or 3 paused moments where chat can be noticed. However the real question is how long can I hang around before making a comment. I have had a lurker for at least a year and a half now, full stream start to finish. Turns out to be a relative of a community member. They don't feel a need to chat, and are quite happy to lurk. I wish they would say hi, one time just as I could refer to them as a person rather than a generic title. Would it be wrong if I just looked at my channel point collector list and see who has 10 million lol
@TheRavenArmed 2 minutes max, unless they’re mid fight then a little longer
@TheRavenArmed It’s the 5 minute first impression rule
@TheRavenArmed If the streamer has an active chat I will wait till he/she/they see it. If the chat is dead and they still not respond to any chatters I will likely dip. Some streamers I am friends with tend to say "If I missed your message feel free to repeat it!"
@TheRavenArmed Depends if it's like a hundred people it doesn't bother me but if its less than 10 and you see them reading it in their mind and don't bother then yeah I'm bailing
@TheRavenArmed I usually watch streamers and just lurk unless I can actually add something to what’s happening. So I don’t really care if they never acknowledge me unless it’s a friend or super important
