The #Falcons took five front-7 players in eight picks this weekend. After the flashy, shocking selection of Michael Penix Jr. at No. 8 overall, ATL went with a lot of depth, athleticism, length and versatility on the defensive side of the ball.
Time will tell on how this draft class plays out. However, don’t always trust media grades.

Listening to what John Beck said about Penix is probably exactly where those meetings with Penix were landing. Zac Robinson was a QB. He played it. The QBs all love Penix.
Eagles got smoked for taking Hurts while in the Wentz window. That window closed quicker than everyone thought and the Eagles are perennial NFC contenders still.
@minakimes @PFF_Steve I think the football logic of it is one thing, but it's the messaging/PR of it that's really rough. Eagles' brass shouted from the rooftops that this was the "Get Carson Help" offseason, then they used 53 on a QB while patting themselves on the back for understanding QB value.
