Let me get something off my chest because I want you Academics, Pan Africanist, Hoteps, Commentators and Boule negros to feel me and I say this with my whooooooole chest! Telling me the name of a historical figure and then acting as if because they cared about an Issue 70,80,100 years ago I HAVE to and am obligated to care about it today is negative! Did you know Malcolm said, Martin Delaney said, SNCC said, Elijah Muhammad said again there are no sacred cows whatever they said is in context of the time in which they lived and it applies to that time and that time ONLY! If I choose too use my discernment I can choose to or choose not to apply it to my current political landscape in MY time which is right now! But in no shape, form or fashion are we millineals, Gen Z the generation whose time it is right now! 2024! Are we obligated to do so! And I am going to need everyone to get that thru their heads. Because it would appear you old nggas! Only bring up historical figures to disempower us and sell our political capital to other groups. Because when I say MLK said “we are the descendants of Slaves” and “we are coming to get our check” then all of a sudden discernment you’ll have no problem with! So yeah new soldiers for new wars stop telling us what historical figures said because you want to lend our political capital to people who we don’t know and who have never done nothing for us. #ADOS
@JashuwahJackson I don’t understand. When did I say you had to care because previous figures did?
I never said you did I was talking to a few people mark if it was just you I would have said just you. But it’s not just you sir this need to extend our political capital all over the globe and use none of it for us is a problem. The need to tell the youth what the elders believed as if we have to apply their beliefs to the modern political landscape is a problem. And it is not a problem that only you are complicit in but it is a broad and wide ranging problem and millineals and Gen Z have had it up to here with the disrespect and condescension and this is where we break from all tradition.
@JashuwahJackson Bro. You posted a video of me, out of context, along with a critique of an argument that I appear to be making. If you acknowledge that I wasn’t making that argument (and I’ve never made that argument, btw) then why post me at all?
Sir you are telling us about how Malcolm supported Palestine. What you are implying is that if Malcolm supported it than the over black community should support them. That is the implication weather you wanted it to be or not that’s how it comes off. And what I am saying in no uncertain terms is that it doesn’t matter what Malcolm supported 60 years ago. The year is 2024 and we as a community have zero political capital to give to anyone outside of ourselves. Now you don’t have to like that position but that is my position.
@JashuwahJackson @marclamonthill Seems like a waste of your chest to argue this disjointed point. Maybe next time.
