I realize now what happened. My head and heart are still in the Sesame Street that existed when Joan Cooney was active in it and when Jim and Jon Stone were alive, and when I was still performing on it. But I have not kept up with it for years. I guess it's changed.
@TheFrankOzJam Frank, the Muppets were there to explain the October 19, 1987 crash on Nightline on November 6, 1987. Weren’t you still involved then? Kermit was a big part of that show (along with a future Nobel prize winner or two).
@TheFrankOzJam I am still on that version of Sesame Street
@TheFrankOzJam We are grateful for your passion and experience. Thank you for speaking up for the @sesamestreet that we’ll all Love and remember.
@TheFrankOzJam Frank you messed up part of my puberty, but you're a legend. Be well and thank you for an amazing career that you've shared with the world.
@TheFrankOzJam And it has changed for the absolute worst. It is sad.
@TheFrankOzJam You and Jim, and your characters were the very heart and soul of the Sesame Street of my generation. That cannot be replicated. I’ll always be thankful.
@TheFrankOzJam Keep on being you, my friend. An absolute gem of a human being.
@TheFrankOzJam Very much so. Case in point, I stumbled across The Batty Bat song earlier this week, but it was remade. Into a cartoon. Without any puppets. A completely subpar version compared to the original.
