Ugly: Albeit preachy at times, the show's message is something we need to be told again and again. It is easy to cut corners and say "not anymore" or "not that institution" and deem people needlessly angry about things. Shows like these should always exist to keep us vigilant.

Ugly: Although I didn't find this experiment too successful, I'm glad they were courageous enough to try a new approach to an age-old story. The London theatre scene is too afraid to divert from the holy manuscripts, we need more daring productions. For better or worse.

It hurts the whole conversation when such works use their money and influence to forefront conversations such as feminism in art and transexual representations on stage. It hurts us all when such writers who can barely keep up with Woolf claim to be her prophets.

Ugly: It's no secret by now that West End is in no way a paragon of the arts, performance, or theatre as a whole. I honestly don't know if it ever was. However, it's doubly insulting when they take from actual artistic works and pretend as if they're of equal. >>
