It is on Shirley Chisholm’s shoulders that the CBC has continued to fight to dismantle barriers, create opportunities, and make our country live up to its promise that we are all created equal. #ShirleyNetflix
You're attempting to revise history, Shirley Chisholm was no friend of Negro Americans, from her meeting George Wallace and accepting an apology not intended for her, since she was Jamaican, not an American Negro, and was out of pocket for even meeting with him. Miss Chisholm was fighting for women, not the Black Americans. Shame on you folks for lying about that woman.
@TheBlackCaucus In her autobiography, Shirley Chisholm denigrated Black U.S. chattel slavery descendants, describing our reactions to violent racial oppression as “overreactions.” (She was a West Indian ethnic chauvinist.) Moreover, after being elected, Chisholm routinely undermined the CBC.🥴

@TheBlackCaucus Fifty years of the CBC - failure much?
@TheBlackCaucus You’re a disgrace and useless. Most of you are melanated immigrants who do nothing to uplift Black American Freedmen.
@TheBlackCaucus The CBC doesn't deserve to be used in the same sentence as the great Shirley Chisholm.
@TheBlackCaucus Y’all FOS reading is fundamental
@TheBlackCaucus @QondiNtini Yall haven’t done nothing besides give black American opportunities to immigrants from Africa/Caribbean/latino /Asia
