When Democrats attempt to triangulate on trans rights, it's my sense that many liberals and people in politics don't understand why many trans people are so upset. I wrote about the differences between then and now, what trans people have lost, and what we still stand to lose
If you mean bottom surgery, then yes, the surgeries are virtually non-existent for minors. I say "virtually" because there are, on very rare occasions, surgeries performed on minors who are 17. My understanding is that this is sometimes done in extraordinary circumstances where a minor wants to get surgery and recover at home with family before attending college. I also believe that such surgeries can require a court order in addition to all of the regular paperwork.

FYI, three reasons why Medicare for All is actually pro-free market capitalism: 1. People who go bankrupt from medical expenses tend to not be great consumers. Money not spent on medical care can be spent in other businesses. 2. Single payer leads to increased consumer choice, as you are no longer limited to in-network care dictated by your specific insurance. 3. Healthier people are more productive members of society, can live and work longer, and are generally happier.
@Jason Free market capitalism has failed because it prioritizes the freedom of corporations over the freedom of consumers. We must repeal Citizens United, bring back anti-trust in force and break up monopolies, and pass Medicare for All so people don't go bankrupt trying to stay alive.
@financedystop After years of searching, I can confirm this is accurate. Applying to jobs without a reference is pissing in the wind. With a reference, you can get jobs you didn't even think you were qualified for.

@BriannaWu Honestly, this is a fair policy, so long as post-op trans women are permitted. However, this policy would likely require pre-op trans men to use the women's locker room as well, which opens up another can of worms, as men shouldn't have to see vagina in their locker room either.
