So, @LouisvilleMayor can scrounge up a 22% pay rise for cops over 4 years no problem and yet is telling TARC workers & riders "welp sucks for you" when he has the ability to put permanent operational funding in his budget for transit? Make it make sense.

NEW: It looks like contract negotiations between Mayor Craig Greenberg’s administration and the police union are complete. The proposed collective bargaining agreements are being introduced at tonight’s Metro Council meeting. Last 2 items on the list here: louisvilleky.primegov.com/Portal/Meeting…
Some additional details: The public will have just over 24 hours to sign up to comment on the contract. Registration closes tomorrow at 4pm. According to the issue sheets for the contracts, they were just added to Metro Council’s agenda today.

Yesterday I had to send in an open records request to a large, out-of-state police department. I got what I asked for in less than 8 hours. In Louisville I consider myself lucky if I get just an acknowledgement of the request within the five business days allowed by law.
