Hear me out: Gibson 4 x $6.4M (ANA retains 33%) + Adam Henrique 1 x $5.825M + BOTH of Anaheim’s 2nd rounders in ‘24 for Petr Mrazek 1 x $3.8M + Tyler Johnson 1 x $5.0M #Blackhawks

@The1Tab Clears space out of Ducks cap to bring in new guys. Do Blackhawks want to get too many good players and end up in middle of pack drafting 10-15v?
I'm a long way from Anaheim but this Gibson saga has been going on for at least 2 yrs...that's when I heard he was for sale but not really advertised. This is the first time I heard him say he wanted out. The issue with ur deal is they might not want to take back $8 mill because w/o Gibson they should be in prime tank mode.
@The1Tab You don’t get it. 2023-24 isn’t about winning. It’s about buying time for the kids to develop (hopefully) and to provide the ones that are on the NHL roster with mentorship and protection. That trade never happens.
@The1Tab That's not a bad deal, definitely banking on Gibson returning to 5 years ago form, I'm not too sure I'd want to make that wager, but gaining 2 2nds & swapping TJ for Henrique is a positive. If Gibson ends up not returning to form we continue picking higher, so that could work.
@The1Tab this deal makes zero sense for both sides. Anaheim doesn't need to shed cap that bad and they shouldn't be paying early draft picks to move Gibson. the one year cap dump trades of Henrique/Johnson/mrazek are virtually a wash for two lottery pick teams.
@The1Tab Wow! You sound like a terrific GM Have you sent Wirtz your resume?
@The1Tab Such a Homer proposal. "Let's give up our shit, and you'll give us a better situation."
@The1Tab They should just trade him for Debrincat.
