Hello, I built a tool that adjusts from a real phone to color and dimensions and immediately reflects to the basic code in Android Studio without rebuilding or asking the Al to modify a specific color or card size if you want to try and evaluate the tool Here's my repository link:github.com/JALAL591/compo… Here is the link to the proof videohttps://youtu.be/Hywyq7cBdDM?si=r0W -wpHVpnDR8IxR androidweekly.net/issues/issue-7…

Hi Built an AST-based sync tool for Compose to eliminate Gradle rebuild loops Live-edit Jetpack Compose from a real device github.com/JALAL591/compo… Would love your quick take

I built ComposeBridge 🌉 Real-time UI visual editor for Jetpack Compose via WebSocket. Zero-rebuild live tuning (<50ms) 🎯 Tap Composable to inspect 💾 AST-guided source splicing (1-line git diff) Repo: github.com/JALAL591/compo… #AndroidDev #JetpackCompose #Kotlin

@CapriniDev77 Solid point — collapsing migrations instead of chaining is the right pattern. Adding it to the roadmap notes. I'm heads-down on the Product Hunt launch tomorrow, so I'll sign off Twitter for a bit. Thanks for the sharp technical thread — genuinely useful.

Sharp idea — treating the ID scheme as the contract is closer to how Room handles migrations than a hard version pin. The plugin would: • Version the ID format (v1, v2, ...), not Kotlin releases • Keep a small compat shim that translates v1 IDs → v2 forward • Emit a `plugin-schema.json` that declares which format is in use Trade-off: shims accumulate. If the ID structure changes 5 times, you're maintaining 4 translators. Manageable if the ID format is kept minimal (composable hash + byte range, nothing else). Adding this to the roadmap notes. Thanks for the framing — it's the right mental model.

Great questions — honest answers: 1. Both: SourceInfo gets ambiguous with inlining/multiple calls, AND ui-tooling-data isn't in release builds. That's the real motivation for the plugin — to bake stable instance IDs at build time. 2. Built on Compose's own LayoutInspector + ui-tooling-data, plus a custom BridgeHitTester on top. Not from scratch — just extended. 3. Plugin versioning is the biggest risk. Best approach: pin to Kotlin/Compose versions, CI matrix against stable releases, and keep a fallback to runtime-only mode for unmatched versions. Not solved yet — open to ideas.

🎉 ComposeBridge is now scheduled on @ProductHunt — launching Tuesday, Sept 29! A real-time visual editor for Jetpack Compose. Edit UI on a real device, no rebuilds. Single-line git diff. If you find it useful, your support on launch day means a lot 🙏 Notify me: producthunt.com/posts/composeb…
