This tweet 👇🏻 upset a few people. Let me explain why it’s true from the Bible. In the Old Testament monarchy, the mother was the queen of Jerusalem, and not the wife of the king because the kings were polygamous. The second highest person in the kingdom after the king was his mother because she connected him to his royal father. Hence, Mary is the biblical Queen mother of Christ. Anyone who studies the issue sees that the Mother of the King of the Jews is #2 after the King. So if Christ is King, Mary is Queen Mother. Welcome to the beautiful world of biblical Catholicism.

@TaylorRMarshall Perhaps someone can answer my question ( no disrespect to the Holy Mother) but if Mary was sinless why would Christ have to die for our sins if a human could live a sinless life? Serious answers please
@TaylorRMarshall Jesus correct you for lying on Jesus Gods word. Amen
Presumption is a sin and Roman Catholicism is awash with it. Psalm 19:13 KJV — 👉Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.👈 Jesus Christ said John 18:36 KJV — Jesus answered, MY KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Before David was born, Jesus Christ had a Kingdom already. Matthew 22:42 KJV — 👉Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.👈 Matthew 22:43 KJV — 👉He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,👈 Matthew 22:44 KJV — 👉The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?👈 Matthew 22:45 KJV —👉 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?👈 Jesus Christ is the Father of David because He(Jesus) created Him. He is also the son of David according to the Flesh.
@TaylorRMarshall Unnecessary Mary worship which detracts from Jesus
@TaylorRMarshall Among other things, this is a clear typology error. Christ is not a King in an earthly sense. Also, Queen Mother is not the same thing as a Queen. Stop the Mary worship.
Yes, the OT had queen mothers, as in 1 Kings 15: "Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father David had done… He even deposed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother, because she had [endorsed idolatry]." Marian cultism can lead to idolatry.
@TaylorRMarshall But was the davidic political queen mother position a part of the old covenant? And IF so, was it mirrored in the new covenant? I get that theoretically it could be paralleled in the new covenant, but not all things that COULD BE paralleled ARE.
Francis Turretin, a 16th-century Reformed scholastic, argued that Christ's messianic kingship transcends Old Testament monarchical structures. He fulfills a spiritual dominion as the head of the Church, symbolically represented as His bride, without necessitating a physical consort. The queenly typology ascribed to Mary is incongruent with the eschatological nature of Christ's reign. The Church's bridal imagery serves not to establish earthly hierarchies but to signify the intimate, salvific union between Christ and His covenant people. Hence, any direct parallel between Old Testament queenship and the role of Mary is theologically incorrect. Protestant agreements with Rome on Mary are manifold. We believe she is, first and foremost, the servant and disciple of Christ, blessed among women, theotokos (or God-bearer), and a virgin. Yet titles such as "queen of heaven," are biblically unsound. Furthermore, you should consider looking into the history behind Mary's bodily assumption into heaven, as that doctrine lacks historical substance.
