@fuckyouiquit My boss rejected my very specific doctors note for accommodations for my medical condition because she 'can't see why I hurt so bad, so it must not be real' I didn't know jobs could do that
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit Everyone telling you that you need a lawyer may be right, but they could also be wrong. Depends on the size of the business. Under 10 employees and they are not bound by EEOC & can do whatever they want. They could fire you over race, age, gender or disability w/o consequence.
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit Seriously, get that in writing, and Run it by the doctor and a lawyer. Sue their ass off for violating your worker's rights.
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit TBH, your manager should not even have had the opportunity to make a decision regarding your doctors note and accommodation…because your manager shouldn’t know your actual health conditions. Presuming you have an HR department, that information should have gone straight
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit Hey, just wondering, are there any updates? You should ABSOLUTELY take action- what your boss is doing is incredibly illegal, horribly immoral, and cruel. No one deserves what he is doing to you. Please take action, for your sake and for the sake of his other employees.
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit That's actually a violation of US labor law.
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit It’s not legal. Hire an attorney. Most work for free until you get a settlement.
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit Get it in writing, contact the Department of Labor, contact your boss' boss, and higher, if you have to, and get a lawyer. I guarantee that you will find one willing to take the case on.
@TaylorJozi @fuckyouiquit They can't. I'm sorry you're going through that.
