I would love to know why they list over 10 variants with 0.0% prevalence. We know there are at least 10 with increasing prevalence. One potential reason is that they are hoping people think that COVID is slowly disappearing. Maybe they don't want to admit their overwhelming failure. In an alternative reality where they implemented airborne infection controls in schools and hospitals, then maybe it could have been true. In the real world, COVID evolution with ever greater immune escape is gaining momentum.
@TactNowInfo It looks like KP.2 vs JN.1.16 will be competing for dominance over the next few weeks, which I expect will cause a significant surge in infection numbers. Likely KP.2 will dominate due to more R346T but JN.1.16 has M:L46F which seems to be causing a lot of trouble in China.
@TactNowInfo But only 3% nationwide. KP.2 is rapidly climbing Raj's leader board. These are fascinating new variants.
@TactNowInfo Looking only at these three...
@TactNowInfo Let er rip! (Again! And Again!)
