@Max_Okhuijsen @LupusLupus54 @flightradar24 To 10k if you were to lose the other pack but there is no restriction after dispatch. The FL290 is a standard procedure in RVSM oceanic airspace to get you out of the RVSM airspace to enable a turn back without effecting other traffic.

@Max_Okhuijsen @LupusLupus54 @flightradar24 One pack is more than powerful enough to power the whole aircraft. There is no requirement to descend after a single failure. Some a/c have restrictions for dispatch on the max FL for dispatching with an already broken pack. This is due to lack of redundancy and time to decsend

@bamg_p @airlivenet @SingaporeAir I was 30 north east of them listening to them tell ATC they had a pressurisation problem. They started a descent then went on O2 and ATC asked them to squawk 7700 so they could get them a rapid descent through the airspace below to FL100 or below.

@Autopilotuser @simon_sat Bit more of an old school thing in the Uk, from my experience, you would sometimes have jokes like, shall we turn this off unless your finished having your children. A fear of exposure to radiation, usually not founded in science mind you.
