I wish someone could explain to me why when a restaurant is literally in the same parking lot as a huge grocery chain how the management can keep a straight face calling customers to say they are out of buns or beverages, etc. Hmmm… The logic please?
@SylviaReneeLand Well beverages usually come in fountain size syrup containers that mix with carbonation so buying them individually isn't an option. If someone has allergies and has found your food acceptable, you don't just go grab off the shelf and change the recipe in the middle of the shift.
@SylviaReneeLand Yes, they have access to the things they're out of, but are they the same as their usual? Like a 4" bun instead of a 6" bun, brioche instead of white... There are a lot of little things that go into making it come out the same way every time.
@SylviaReneeLand i wouldn't want to eat grocery store hamburger buns to be fair LOL, but drinks that's wild
@SylviaReneeLand A lot of times they are under contract to use a certain supplier but when I worked in the service industry I think we actually did do what you’re describing a couple times that we needed to lol
@SylviaReneeLand that's a new level of laziness and not caring 😭
@SylviaReneeLand That's a #fail aka #laziness. When I worked at Starbucks we bought Milk, Bananas and anything else the grocery store could supply when out of something.
