We are glad to share that Revolut India has received an in-principle authorisation from RBI to issue PPI, prepaid cards & wallets, in India. This gives us the unique advantage to offer both international & domestic payment solutions on a single platform. bfsi.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/fintech/e…
This builds on the existing licenses obtained to operate as an ADII (for issuing multi-currency forex cards) and Para 10 (for offering cross border remittances). We are eager to bring the stellar global @RevolutApp experience to India. Join waitlist: revolut.com/en-IN/waitlist/
@SumedhaUppal LFG 🔥 I’ve been on the waitlist since 2020, do I reapply again?
@SumedhaUppal Thanks, just in time. When can we get a revolut card? Is it possible before April 20?
@SumedhaUppal That’s great, but would a revolute prepaid card issued abroad work the same way as the prepaid card issued in India. The reason why I’m asking is that my international multi currency card rarely works in most machines specially in tier 2 cities.
@SumedhaUppal Epic! Just signed up on the waitlist :)
@SumedhaUppal Woot Woot! Many congratulations, been waiting for this for far too long
@SumedhaUppal Congratulations! No fintech has the combination of AD2 & PPI license. This is a solid advantage on margins.
