the fact enslaved folk of the US forged a new culture w/ their own hands is something we should be proud of. genetics & percentages isn't culture. we belong HERE because our ancestors built HERE from the ground up.

this is a weird take because how you feel uncultured when Black American culture is one of the most influential things in the world. if our culture meant nothing or had no value, others wouldn't try to steal from it or replicate it. so, the math not mathing here.
@StorySorcery This is SAD. Smh.
@StorySorcery I think a lot of people need to realize cultures can start at any time. One being older doesn't make it more legitimate. Ok, yours started around and after slavery with some mix of pre-colonial traditions, that's still culture and that should be something to hold dear.
@StorySorcery @ingloriousgigi It’s that simple lmfaoo
@StorySorcery Most black Americans can't trace their heritage to anything before 1900s and yet the average black church contributed to 70% of black culture. Sis?! Just turn on Coolin Water 😭
@StorySorcery You know right black slaves did nothing but the farming they didn't do the building stuff the white people did the building even I know history of stuff they did why do you think it was call the plantation for a reason all slaves were nothing but cottonpickers not builders
