Crazy to think about but I’m 1000% sure that if the majority of us came together with one goal, pushing CATE as the second coming of DOGE, and started posting across social media, telling friends, and onboarding new people, we could create the first truly organic 10 figure memecoin we’ve seen in a very long time. i have never been a fan of creator coins, even though at times i’ve been pretty good at trading them my earliest recollection of creator coins as a concept goes back to the “celebrity meta” of early 2024 - stealth launching was at peak popularity and deployer competence was at all-time lows. if you were able to read the chain, it was quite rudimentary to determine which was the “real” coin or if it appeared someone of interest may be planning to endorse a token. i have fond memories of the mother launch, the 8.5 days of sahil relevance and bryce hall headtopping washed eth heads for 40 bands the problem at that time, however, was that participants quickly arrived at the sobering conclusion that prominence/likability did not translate to price appreciation (and moreover that most of their childhood idols were a lot broker than they had previously imagined). teams attempted to solve for this by creating opaque, confusing utility and half-assed promotional stunts (but bro she got a billboard in times square) that boded well for clicks but had zero impact in the order book. the conclusion of this chapter in onchain history was quite trite - the names that these coins beared had no incentive to continue working them as the success or demise of their token had very little impact on their macro social capital. the irr of effort grew smaller and smaller as each day post launch passed over the past year, we’ve see a resurgence in creator-driven tokens in the advent of the pumpfun era. many of the problems from the first go around seemed to persist and initially it appeared the sector as a whole would forever be a giant grift. just as it was beginning to look bleak, a new concept emerged - some creators were beginning to use tokens as a tool to garner additional social capital and notoriety, rather than means to extract. the winners in this new “tokens as a tool” sector have largely been those who’s main character’s have brought something new to the table: personal risk. in my opinion, there have really only been two creators that i would consider largely successful in this feat. one which risked large amounts of capital 🐋 while previously being relatively unknown and another that is currently wagering exorbitant amounts of social credibility. it turns out, participants are much more willing open their pockets when it’s clear the dev needs the token to go up just as much as they do. over the past 24 hours, a token has come across my desk that i believe has both elements of the above mentioned and may also posses a third. $EPIK is an incredibly interesting spot as not only has @rektmando contributed enormous amounts of capital towards its’ success - he’s unabashedly been putting his name and personal brand on the line building it out in the open. the real differentiator for me, however, is the third infinity stone: mando has built and operates two first-in-class (and wildly profitable, i might add) products that are already beloved by many. i am acutely aware of this as i have long been a consumer of them - rekt radio was the first content within crypto outside of twitter i dabbled in when i entered the space in 2021. many are also aware i am in the top 20 leaderboard @yeet - a product that is so above parity that i have relentlessly preached it will be top 5 within the online gambling sector in the next few years. i won’t do too much dot connecting, but i think this differentiator opens up all sorts of doors where TEH DUK’s success could be good for everyone. i am always partial to supporting individuals who are not only net good for our space but have contributed tangible value to our ecosystem. i am long @ 15m

That’s how you lose retail. When I saw that starting to happen, I felt like I didn’t really have a choice. Why would I even do this? I benefit very little. My public wallet has so many eyes on it that if I sold, it would probably hurt the project. I stepped up because I love this game and because I genuinely want to see this space heal and win again. Then I wake up on day two to find malicious shorts and max-slippage bots targeting the coin. 17,000+ holders and someone is actively trying to kill the momentum? What is wrong with this space? I thought it was strange we did over $50M in volume without a Moonshot listing or even a mention from @Pumpfun , but if the puppet masters don’t want us to win, so be it. We’ll push even harder. My thesis hasn’t changed. CATE doesn’t need endless catalysts. The narrative is the catalyst. Everyone knows DOGE. You don’t need to explain why a cat version resonates. It’s instantly understandable to millions of people who remember DOGE. We’re already seeing retail show up. I gained over 120k Fomo followers in a month, and every day people DM me saying they want to learn how to trade. That’s how real adoption happens. One person tells a friend, then that friend tells another. 18k holders in the first day isn’t normal. That’s proof the story resonates. The goal isn’t another short-lived PvP runner. The goal is to build the cat that sits next to DOGE on the Mount Rushmore of memecoins. A coin that brings normies back into crypto because the story is so simple anyone can understand it. Maybe I’m delusional. Or maybe we’re watching the beginning of something much bigger.
