@wideawake_media @elonmusk That’s nonsense.The policies of FDRs New Deal including high taxes on the very wealthy,government intervention that made banking safer & other gvt backed consumer protections made the American middle class the envy of the world. Reaganism began to reverse this. Study somehistory

@JungleBocan @thescottbarber I rather like clean water, fire dept, police, health care, education, paved roads...all which come via our tax money 'socialized' for community benefit. I also don't like leeches like billionaires who get tax breaks & subsidies & off shore jobs & pay poor wages.

(how did U come to this idea?) have U thought this thru? So all ppl who don't share this view for 19Cent are not saved? Hist important.

Humility is always in pursuit of it knowing that what we have is incomplete (ie see through a glass,darkly) I urge you to pursue - otherwise U will not be aware of what U r not aware of. I'm assuming Uhave it all?

If U begin w/ a christocentric view - Disp reading doesn't make any sense. Of course it was written as empire resistance which is missed by Disp.

I would suggest the book Reading Revelation Responsibly by Michael Gorman (or at least his blog for a start). It is eye opening - especially if all you have been exposed to is Dispensationalism which relishes rapture(gnostic) & destruction, etc/

The best way to grow...keep an open mind. Don't assume everyone else is wrong. Read outside comfort zone. It is surprising to see change over time.

@MommaMami5 @reachjulieroys @AmericanBaptist I used to be like that too. I would advise keeping an open mind. U may think you know the bible, but expose yourself to diff views ie scholar, ancient, patristics, Orthodox etc. I did and over time it radically changed my views, because I was often wrong (ie I was an apologist)

@MommaMami5 @reachjulieroys @AmericanBaptist You are simply confusing two types of truth (I used to do this as well). Jesus embodies truth - ie how to love fully (ie metaphysical/religious). Absolute truth is a scientific understanding (ie quantities, measurements, scientific properties). Peace.

@MommaMami5 @reachjulieroys @AmericanBaptist That is truth yes! But absolute truth is a category error when bringing that to the bible. Absolute truth is something brought to us from science. I wish ppl could see the difference. Jesus isn't an abstract formula, but we certainly try to make it that way (ie scientism)

@kelcy_lowry @pastordangb @reachjulieroys @AmericanBaptist we both agree - jesus will come back to judge - great! But according to U and many western Xtians - he judges punatively. Eastern, & early Patristics Xtians believe he will come back 2 restore. ie apokatastasis. Smack down vs healing. Worth considering.
