Victoria College Prep School @JerseyVcp Year 5 students visited the States Chamber today to learn about democracy and to experience what it's like to be a States Member, including holding a debate. In the morning, they debated that: 'Jersey should ban the use of AI in the Island.' They voted to accept the Proposition: 12 Pour 👍 0 Abstentions 👉 8 Contre 👎 In the afternoon, they debated: 'The use of VAR in football should be banned'. They voted to reject the Proposition: 11 Pour 👍 0 Abstentions 👉 14 Contre 👎

🇯🇪 Bouanne Libéthâtion or Happy Liberation Day! 🇯🇪 Today marks the 81st anniversary of Jersey's Liberation. As part of the commemorations, a special States Meeting will be held at 11am in Liberation Square. The Bailiff, Robert MacRae, will deliver his first Liberation Day address since taking office, while the outgoing Connétable of Trinity, Philip Le Sueur, will deliver the traditional annual speech.
