Speaking of Rodriguez's maturity, the new print edition of PressBox hits the streets tomorrow with Growing Grayson, Luke Jackson's dive into the development of Grayson Rodriguez. PressBox is available at over 500 locations and 60 Royal Farms store around town.
Down in the count 3-0 to Miranda leading off the top of the 5th, Rodriguez showed a lot of maturity striking him out on a slow curve.
W-O-W...Jordan Westburg on the first pitch with his 4th HR of the season. It's was another 2 run shot, O's had already made it 4-0 on a RBI ground-out by Cowser. Now 6-0 O's- still in the bottom of the 3rd.
Grayson Rodriuez is thru 3 innings at Camden Yards. He has benefitted from two DPs pulled off by his infield. O's up 3-0, with O'Hearn Santander & Mullins up to start the bottom of the 3rd.
And just like that, the O's are up 3-0 in the bottom half of the second. Big blow- a 2 run HR by Gunnar with James McCann aboard. McCaan had driven in Cowser on a 2-out double.
Freddy Peralta put on his "Big Boy" pants tonight. In four innings, he has struck out 9 batters. Right now, it looks as though Colton Cowser could hit Bob Gibson Sandy Koufax and Tom Seaver all on the same night. O's down 4-1 after 4. Wells out, and Jonathan Heasley in for O's.

Very surprised at Alex Cora's mistake in "assuming" Brandon Hyde was pulling Kemp for Mateo, so when Cora jumped to match the RH batter Mateo with a righty from his pen...Cora was locked to A RHP vs 4 consecutive left-handed batters. Net result Hyde's gamesmanship got us a run

To recap, the O's Craig Kimbrel will come on for his first appearance of the season and try for his first save.
With a big assist of 1st Baseman Nick Loftin, the O's have taken the lead 4-3. Neither play was easy, but let's agree that a more experienced first-sacker and this inning would have been over tied 3-3. Not looking this gift-horse in the mouth. Neither play was an error.
A Houdini act from reliever Yennier Cano. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and no outs, he induced Sal Perez into a ground out to SS, After walking MJ Melendez to load the bases, he calmly got Hunter Refroe on a pop to 2nd and then K'd Nick Loftin. We go to bottom of the 8th tied at 3
Despite two errors early by infielders, the O's have flashed some leather tonight w/ 2 outstanding plays by RF Anthony Santander and this great play by Adley to grab a foul pop by MJ Melendez.
Dean Kremer was able to avoid any damage retiring Witt of a fly ball to left and getting Pasquantino on a grounder to Gunnar. O's come to bat in the bottom of the 5th with a shot to take the lead.
We start the top of the 5th with a beautiful diving grab of a Kyle Isbel lined-drive to RF. Santander perfectly timed his dive to make the grab. Maikel Garcia hit a lined drive to left-center and he tood advantage of the arm of Cedric Mullins to turn it into a 1 out double.
Now the "folks" are as good as the "people", as the O's even things up at 3-3 on a 2 run HR by Ryan Mountcastle over the left field wall.
And just like that Anthony Santander has delivered an RBI single to center and the Birds have cut the lead to 3-1. Still nobody out in the bottom of the 4th.
AS the O's come to bat in the bottom of the 4th, the O's are down 3-0 and have yet to get their first hit off Michael Wacha...wait, no they have a double bloopped into left by Adley Rutschman.
Well, with 2 outs and nobody on in the top of the 3rd, it looked like Dean Kremer was cruising. Three batters later and a Witt solo HR, a walk to Vinnie Pasqantino walk and a 2 run HR by Sal Perez, the O's find themselves in a 3-0 hole as they bat in the 3rd.
