Note: I am not a paid subscriber to all of these publications/outlets, nor am I advocating for you to become one. Also this list is not all-inclusive. That said, here we go.
Twitter is still a really good place to get news, IF you curate your feed properly. Follow people you trust, NOT people you just agree with. Search for the nuance, not the answer.
Back in the day, I used to read NYT, WaPo, WSJ, and a couple others on the reg. But since they have been paywalled so heavily, not so much anymore. Just because of the time/expense ratio.
Talking Points Memo, I don't thing I need to make any disclosures here but @joshtpm has become a close friend of mine over the years. But I can't not mention a site that I read daily.
I also tend to hew closely to the OG bloggers and TPM alum. @mattyglesias @GregTSargent @sullydish @brianbeutler. More recently I read a lot of @HC_Richardson and @steve_vladeck.
I do subscribe to all the local papers in my district, in digital format. Just to keep up with current events and see what is happening.
