Looking for feature romcoms/comedies from the last 5 yrs that made you laugh the entire way through - not just smiled bc it was fun - but truly made you LOL. (Yes I realize comedy is subjective, so no wrong answer, just researching)
I thought I'd send my book out to a couple of publishers. They're happy to take unagented submissions and, miracle of miracles, they're open. Once I submitted I decided to go back and do a final round of revisions on the MS. Turns out I could have improved it in some places. 🫣
First day revising and editing the first draft of my novel. I returned to it after an absence of a couple of weeks, to let it "rest" before tackling it again. Felt more like two months. Working on it now feels like I'm with old friends again.
Two form rejections so far out of the first seven queries I sent. How many queries do you send out before revising your letter and pages? Do you wait to hear back from an entire batch before sending more? I’m struggling with how to proceed. #amquerying
What makes an agent sit on a full they already read? Waiting for an offer? Waiting to see if the book "clicks" for them? I'm really interested in the process, sounds fascinating.
I’ve been rewriting my whole novel from the beginning. Not because I’ve received any negative reviews. But because I’m my own worst critic. I’ve already been told to stop rewriting it. But it’s never complete to me. Does anyone else struggle like this?

One of the agents with my full doesn’t have any other manuscripts on their plate (according to QT), and their fastest rejection over the past 2 years has been 14 days. I’ve now passed that and haven’t heard anything. Praying it’s a good sign 🕯️🤞

We're not here to gate keep. You can call yourself a writer even if you write two words on a napkin a few times a week. If it's just in your head while you organise your thoughts. If that's how you see yourself and you love writing, go for it. No need to be 'aspiring'.

@CharyseAAuthor It's hard. I've either paid someone, or I've swapped with someone on reddit. Usually I get maybe 1-2 people at the most. Paying has been the best experience, but I don't want to invest money into this anymore, so I'll probably keep looking on reddit.
Is anyone else feeling emotionally exhausted from querying? I haven't felt this emotionally drained since I was 13 years old when my crush broke up with me and I thought my life was over. #amquerying
i have signed ppl successfully who have told me that an editor enjoyed their pitch at a conference or who asked for a full and suggested they get an agent. i just brokered an auction between three editors who ALL met my client at the same conference. always divulge this :)
It took longer that I expected, but I am officially over halfway through my outline!
