It’ll take the U.S. *10 years* to rebuild a bridge. It took China ten years to build *35,000 km* of high-speed rail. Now it has 45,000 km. Maybe the US should stop blaming China, Russia, or whoever else for its problems and look in the mirror.
@SpiritofHo Russia built the Kerch bridge in 2 years and its seven times longer. It also has been hit by missiles, truck bombs and underwater drones and it still stands.
When you cut corners on good engineering practices and have virtually infinite (and expendable) labor, there's a lot you can accomplish...too bad that it's at the expense of human rights, public safety, the environment, worker safety, and sustainable development. Maybe look and see who failed to deliver on infrastructure in the USA, something that the American Society of Civil Engineers has been screaming from the rooftops about for years, and who finally did so. Also, see where the tech that China uses came from. Not their institutions or industry. They duplicate, not innovate. safetynewsalert.com/worker-fatalit… thediplomat.com/2016/09/the-tr…
@SpiritofHo Videos of unsuspecting Chinese citizens being crushed by randomly collapsing buildings and infrastructure made up 97% of LiveLeak.com video content though
@SpiritofHo Ron DeSantis would build it in a year. He built 2 bridges in Florida in 2 weeks.
@SpiritofHo 🇨🇳China uses a cutting edge construction technology called tofu-dreg. That’s why it is so fast.
