This rhetoric is destructive and wrong and—honestly—evil. We don’t need a divorce, we need marriage counseling. And we need elected leaders that don’t profit by tearing us apart. We can disagree without hate. Healthy conflict was critical to our nation’s founding and survival.
As Reagan said: “These visitors…do not come as white or black…they are not Jews or Christians; conservatives or liberals; or Democrats or Republicans. They are Americans awed by what has gone before, proud of what for them is still … a shining city on a hill.”
@SpencerJCox @HeathMayo I agree with you. But there is no both sides to this. Is there anyone on the Democrat side calling for a civil war? This woman spews this dangerous and hateful rhetoric all day everyday, and you’re just now calling it out?
@SpencerJCox You're right in many ways, however the only reason I'd ever consider the national divorce is because I can't reconcile with people who believe America is inherently racist, that don't believe in following the Founder's intent. Communism and fascism will never be okay for me.
@SpencerJCox I agree. But every elected Republican in Utah (except @MittRomney) will support a Trump/Greene ticket if that who the GOP nominates.
@SpencerJCox In 2020, Donald Trump carried 2,497 counties across the country that together generate 29 percent of the country’s GDP, according to the Brookings Institution. President Joe Biden won just 477 counties, but together they generate 71 percent of GDP.
@SpencerJCox There is nothing healthy about the conflict inherent in politics. It is forced association. It is one group domineering another group. We need to peacefully go our separate ways. Leave people alone. Live and let live. "National unity" is what's truly evil.
@SpencerJCox To those siding with MTG, please note that the very rich northeast & west coast states would no longer financially support the poor red states and it would fall in FL, GA & TX. Be careful what you wish for. 😉
