@TauShaman @Investing88ai @TrustedStake Buybacks are automatic via rebalancing. Each wallet keeps a 20% allocation to SN88. Other 80% is based on the 88 miner meta model. If the 80% allocation grows, profits are rebalanced back into SN88. So yes, there is passive buy pressure. No, it is not an auto-burn.

@Pop_Collapse 7200 a_out per day distributed to x amount of alpha held by users. generally speaking, the higher the alpha staked, the lower the apy. e.g. subnet a with 500k alpha staked will have a higher apy than subnet b with 2m alpha staked. +/- whatever the root proportion is for each one

@bittingthembits @taostats it's actually the other way around. NAV > 1 is a discount, because the liquidation price is greater than the price. price = tao_in / a_in. liq. price = tao_in / a_out. if you buy at 0.1 tao, but the liq. price is 0.2, then if the subnet were to dereg, you'd receive 2x tao

@VenturaLabs @latentholdings @learnbittensor Correction (to my younger self): The ALPHA halving actually affects only the ALPHA going out to participants not the "alpha_in"/ALPHA going into the pool. Meaning that the amount of ALPHA going into the pool only gets reduced by the TAO halving* (price never changes by itself)🙏

@inversemyself @bittingthembits 💯 yes, after the first alpha halving, alpha_out gets halved, and alpha_in gets halved again. however, tao_in would not get halved until the 2nd tao halving. this behavior changes the injection ratio in favor of tao, and the chain would passively push the price up
