Exactly one year ago today, @netnose and I kicked off a mini app experiment, to see if a little bit of speculative serendipity could create real distribution and opportunity for builders and creators on @base. That experiment was @betrmint, and today is our BETR Birthday! It’s been a whirlwind of a year, to say the least. ⚡️ 203,000 spins on the neon flywheel ⚡️ 200+ rounds ⚡️ $300,000+ in total app revenue ⚡️ $80,000 paid to artists ⚡️ $25,000 paid to BETR token stakers ⚡️ $50,000 airdropped to loyal users (and more being dropped this week!) Somewhere along the way, this stopped being an experiment and became something of a movement. And in a space where a year is an eternity, where countless projects have come and gone, we’re still here. Still iterating. Still experimenting. Still tinkering with what it means to help creators and founders earn for their creativity onchain. Year one had a lot of triumphs. We were honored to win the $25K top prize for Live Mini Apps during Base Onchain Summer, and to get selected for Base Batches (Startup Track), which took us all the way to Argentina in the fall.
