If you’re 30+, please give one piece of advice to everyone who’s between 19 to 29. It can be about anything!
@Solomon_Buchi Don’t run from responsibility. IMO The best things in my life are things that increased my responsibilities. God, marriage, kids, career, all things many people run from to “have fun”.
Sometimes it will look like you are not getting it and others are way ahead, RELAX. Make sure you are working on something no matter how little or insignificant the effort may seem, be consistent. What matters is that 1+1 is no longer one. Keep going. And if it ever seems like you are empty and nothing to do again, you still have one thing to do. Use your tongue well. I don't care what your life looks like but endeavour to keep saying what you want it to look like. Keep your tongue positively active on your life and keep your thoughts positively active too. BELEIVE!!! IT WILL BE LIKE MAGIC WHEN THINGS BEGIN TO FALL IN PLACE FOR YOU. Enjoy like today is your last but also plan and live like you will live forever. Find a healthy balance between these two. You had better trust GOD for your own good, it costs you nothing.
@Solomon_Buchi Start investing for retirement *now.* It might sound silly, but the more money you can put away here or there, the more you will thank your future self.
@Solomon_Buchi Never stop learning Travel the world before you have kids Have kids young enough In order to receive give Love yourself You are in the greatest show on earth enjoy it for the glimpse of the time we have in here.
@Solomon_Buchi Take the risk (not safety related) now, because even if you fail - years from now it will be forgotten.
FRUGALITY AND MINIMALISM. Stop buying material consumer goods and stop collecting things if you’re not financially well off… Get at least $10,000 invested in a ROTH IRA as soon as possible and invest in Vanguard ETFs and be done with it. STOP obsessing over travel for your Instagram and get your emergency fund up. No luxury handbags and Jordans if you don’t have $5000 cash on hand and $10K-$20K invested for your future… and NO the handbags and Jordan’s are not an “investment”, they are an emotionally leveraged WANT, that is making someone rich who is already rich. You want to go on a trip every year? It doesn’t need to be exotic or international. Go local or at least in country or go on a cheap cruise for $300-$600… and don’t put it on a credit card. Build your credit score with small subscriptions, but don’t use it as your emergency fund and stop using it to “have experiences”… that you didn’t earn by saving up for them. If you have lived your life properly you will still be plenty healthy in your 30s and 40s… So be financially healthy in your 20s and stop digging a hole your future self will have to climb out of. Your 30s and 40s will be spent making up for the “fun” you had in your 20s. You don’t need to be extra or “live for now” you should assume your life will be long enough and not act on FOMO. I’m not saying have no fun at all, I’m saying live simply while you’re young and broke. Find fun in the FREE and cheap things. Don’t chase an Instagram aesthetic lifestyle. As for young men…. I recommend in your 20s 5 years of RUTHLESS Monk Mode… When you’re in your 30s you can activate Warrior Mode and conquer the world after you master yourself…
@Solomon_Buchi Don't ever vote for the Conservative Party.
Find the type of movement your body likes. And if able move your body! I spent years running long distance very begrudgingly love the after feeling but my heart was not in it. Getting into hot yoga has been the absolute best thing ever, I look forward to exercising now and I know I’m doing something for my cardiovascular health and mental wellness.
@Solomon_Buchi IT PAYS TO SERVE GOD!!! It changes you, keeps you grounded and sane. Reforms and makes you better
