Els drets humans no floten en l’aire. Algú els ha de garantir, aplicar i defensar. I aquest algú sempre és una comunitat política amb institucions, límits, llengua, poder i capacitat de decisió. Fer servir els drets humans per dir que les nacions, les identitats col·lectives i la continuïtat dels pobles són secundàries és molt bonic de dir, però molt poc seriós. Cap dret humà obliga el poble català a dissoldre’s, a callar sobre immigració, a renunciar a la seva llengua o a deixar de preguntar-se quin futur vol tenir.
