The Code of Practice implements the law as it has always been since the Equality Act 2010 and, indeed, before. Human beings ‘discriminate’ every day. It is part of normal decision-making processes. Moreover, this ‘discrimination’ is entirely appropriate and sensible virtually all of the time and the law only gets involved in a minimal number of very specific circumstances. It does this by legislating about the types of discrimination that are considered to be unacceptable and the circumstances when this will be the case. This creates the category known as ‘unlawful discrimination’. All other ‘discriminatory’ behaviour is, by definition, lawful The general rule is that it is unlawful to discriminate in the provision of certain facilities on the basis of sex. Because sometimes ‘discrimination’ based on sex is necessary for privacy, dignity, comfort and safety, however, the legislation provides exceptions to the general rule. It is thus not ‘unlawful discrimination’ to exclude all males from female-only spaces. The Green Party wants to allow males into female spaces, which is unlawfully discriminatory against women. You should stand up and say what it is thay you really stand for and why. @helensclegel Germany was the attacker, yes. The US forced regime change on Ukraine, making Ukraine and Russia protect their borders and identity. Israel was the attacker, yes, as it wasn't protecting its borders or identity. It is the occupier.

@ApsanaBegumMP There is a imbalance of harm between men and women and between men and homosexual men. Men have dressed as women, yes; "lowering" their social position. But women dressing as men? They are not treated with the same respect as men, so its not really the same thing.

All women can access sex segregated bathrooms at all times. But if they are butch, or coloured, or not a typical woman they can't? That doesnt sound right.

@Frances_Coppola @akuareindorf has no problem. You seem to think that a word like "banned" will rally butch feminists to your cause. I don't think women- of colour or sexuality- are being "banned" so give your argument credence with evidence or don't give it at all.

@TheAliceSmith What is it that Palestinians are scared of in their history books? I get that trans people are scared of biological reality etc.. but, genuine question what truth do Palestinians avoid?

Real antisemitism (like real racism) is hatred against people which in the end forces them into silos like the one Gazans live in. And... Semites are people of a region not a relgion so I use the word antisemitism in its true sense
