@SkyNews Just awful out there right now + no sign of it getting any better. How long do we all wait it out? Not only financially but mentally too.
@SkyNews @bbcwritersroom Prior 2 Covid & strikes articles re desperate need for people in the industry, but no real recruitment plans. Now articles re many out of work & suicidal. No support for workers during the different crises & a distinct lack of leadership or joined up thinking across the board 🤦🏻♂️
@SkyNews The TV industry is a bellweather for the state of the economy. There have been slow downs before but nothing on this scale. I fear we are in for historic times.
@SkyNews This is so wrong in so many ways. The arts including tv and film are important, it gets brushed aside for core subjects and industries but we all use it every day.
@SkyNews Unfortunately this country doesn't see the need to invest in the people who make film and tv and are passionate enough to put up with all the difficulties of the job, let alone nuturing, encouraging or financing next generation. This industry here soon may not exist.
@SkyNews 2023 destroyed this industry. So many people who worked in production are retraining
@SkyNews And how about a mention of the £6.27 billion Film & TV contributes to the UK economy?
