Reminder that, in spite of the narratives many would've had you believe here on Twitter... Final Fantasy XVI was one of the most well-polished and optimized games released in the year 2023... and ran vastly better than even the 2023 Game of the Year. This is a fact... and it's one that was muddied and diluted by disingenuous "gamers" on this platform. As is the case with most SQEX games, while the performance wasn't "perfect," it was still very good. Furthermore, it was a banger of a game and it shipped with virtually NO bugs and NO glitches... day one.
Also... and this is more of an aside... but it had one of the coolest maps in gaming, lol.
@Sir_Dammed Whatever your issue is with people not liking it. Just know. Performance would’ve been better on PC. And yet it’s stuck on a shitty console. Until it comes to PC. Only casuals will play it. And will have casual opinions about it.
@Sir_Dammed Same case with rebirth as well. Even though performance mode is not optimal . But no major bugs or glitches despite game's scale and scope. Looks like focusing solely on one console platform working better for them.
@Sir_Dammed no work better of BG3.. BG3 is a better game in every way.
@Sir_Dammed Had to turn off VRR on PS5 because FF16 was dropping below the capable VRR range. PS5 over heated around 5 times(caught on stream). Resolution dropped as low as 720p. Fucking incredible game but I would say it was a very poorly optimized game.
