every time I talk about my engine with devs that used @unity their whole life I always get the same reaction: 1 - they don't believe one person can build an engine that surpasses it and 2 - even if they could, it must result in tech that is "too hard" to use this used to bother me a lot, but today I realized something 🧵

I say this a Open World fan. The Overworld in Eldenring is almost entirely a negative and gets in the way of everything that makes from games good in a thousand tiny ways.

I get the feeling that Elden Ring has a lot of replay value if you wanna try out different character builds, BUT it's so long and grindy that I'll never have time for that. And for that reason I think it should offer options to cut down the grind like Valheim does.
