JCB is creating 200 new jobs and ramping up production at its sites in Staffordshire to meet soaring global demand. Since January 2021, the British manufacturer has built a record number of machines, created 1,350 jobs, and handed permanent contracts to over 1,000 agency workers.

Jaguar Land Rover is reportedly in advanced talks with Envision AESC to supply batteries for its Range Rover and Land Rover electric models. The potential partnership is likely to lead to the construction of a new gigafactory in the UK, which is JLR's preferred location.

All of the curling stones used at the Beijing Winter Olympics were hand-crafted at Kays Curling's workshop in Mauchline, Ayrshire, using granite from the island of Ailsa Craig. Founded in 1851, the historic firm has supplied stones for the Winter Olympics since 1924.

Originally one of a pair, this knife was a cutting and slicing workhorse in my parents kitchen and now in my possession it’s still in daily use chopping vegetables and slicing bread more than 60 years after it was manufactured. Quality has no price!

Since 1987 climbers have been attempting the ascent of K2 in winter - on the 16th Jan 2021 ten climbers finally stood victorious. 2 of those men were wearing #PHD outer garments made right here in #Stalybridge at a factory in the foothills of the Pennines. Fantastic achievement

I’ve owned 2 pairs of the Made in the U.K. range in my lifetime and both have been great. Ok so your paying a tad more than Far East manufactured models but hey, these babies are made at the Flimby factory in Cumbria where craftsmanship and care is top notch! #newbalance for me

The quite hamlet of #Park_Bridge near #Ashton which during Victorian times had coal mines, a viaduct for the railway, a station and an iron works that made all the rivets that hold the #Eiffel_Tower together. Now a country park this old press could have hammered those very rivets

Great example of why the U.K. doesn’t need China. British made plastic 35cm Terracotta plant pots £2-49. Both manufacturer and retailer make profits using U.K. labour proving outsourcing in most instances is a defeatist mindset! Let’s provide jobs and futures instead of benefits.

British electric vehicle technology company Arrival has secured a deal worth millions of pounds from global logistics company UPS for 10,000 of their zero emission Generation 2 delivery vans. Deliveries are programmed between now and 2024 with scope for a further order for 10k.

So why do I #Buy_British? 30 years ago my granddad who was the accountant at world famous #Christy_Towels gave me this towel which was part of a sample batch they had manufactured. Today it's still coming with me to the Gym - best quality in the world and there endeth the lesson!
