Sunday’s cancelled Punchestown meeting will be run tomorrow and tomorrow’s Punchestown card will be run on Friday … why can’t British racing show the same flexibility ??

@Crowd_Racing I agree. And the 2,5% share owner has been getting the same benefits as a 25% owner etc. Something has to give . Either facilities have to be expanded or benefits for micro owners have to restricted.

@Crowd_Racing A sensible starting point would be 12 badges. The current 6 badge threshold means a couple with a 25% share are not guaranteed a free badge which is ridiculous.
Elliot claims it was a “moment of madness”. Nonsense. A horse that had cost €170k , performed honourably and then died was no longer any use to him. The image captures Elliott’s total indifference. For the sake of racing the Irish regulators need to act swiftly and strongly.

The Ownership Strategy was funded by the Levy Board to the tune of £1.2m paid against @RacehorseOwners invoices. As Charlie Brooks @dailytelegraph exposes today that was a waste of money. Who scrutinised and approved those invoices? Or did ROA simply mark their own homework?

The ROA received £1.6m of Levy funding to develop an Ownership Strategy. Why are we still waiting to see it ? Is it a) because its too poor to publish or b) because it contains unpopular measures for those in shared ownership . Both I suspect. The wait continues
@Donolphin31 The point is why own and race a horse in the UK when you can do the same in France for considerably better prizemoney ? The funding model is irrelevant. Obviously there are other factors at play but its an interesting question to consider.
The 3 flat meetings in France today offer prizemoney of £396k.. the 3 in the UK offer £166k. No surprise that France is seen as a better option for owners is it ??
