What a difference a week (& a life-saving intervention) can make! This is the very same bull elephant who strode up to our Ithumba Unit for help, suffering from a painful-looking arrow wound. Exactly one week after he was anaesthetised – in this very spot – he returned for a drink, standing tall & proud & healing beautifully. Reacquaint yourself with his incredible story: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/news/updates/i…
@SheldrickTrust This is amazing! Does he need any follow-up?
@SheldrickTrust I wish elephants (& rhinos, giraffes, all wildlife) could trust ALL humans like they trust the awesome staff at SWT. But, it is humans that put out snares, poison, shoot them with arrows & guns. Still, they know they can trust the good humans at SWT. Please adopt; donate.
@SheldrickTrust He's a shining star,, with your tender 😘
@SheldrickTrust This is so awesome to see! Was he with the two orphans that came with him last time or did he come by himself? You folks do amazing work every day! ❤️❤️
@SheldrickTrust This is great news! He stopped by to say thank you
@SheldrickTrust He knows he is welcomed, and he knows he is in a safe space. He is an incredible and intelligent bull. ✨️💖✨️
