Coaches, GA's, & Managers that are waiting for the next chapter on their life.. what are you doing to prepare or stay busy? A Thread: 🚨🧵
1) Work on or polish up that resume It's important to have the resume on standby for whatever may come. Present to past jobs i listed ready to show!
3) Cover letter ready! Cover letter typed up and ready to be sent out. Some jobs ask for a cover letter and some don't, it's always good to include it no matter what.
4) Connect and network! Reach out to your people! Send handwritten letters, email, text, or call. Check in and let them know you're looking!
5) Send your resume and reference to your circle! Everyone knows everyone in this business.. so send your stuff to your people so they have it if someone ask if they know anybody, all roads point to you!
2) Get your reference list ready. Make sure you ALWAYS ask the person first if they can be a reference for you. Don't list them until you ask. Have at-least 2-4!
6) Try to be present still where you are! There are student athletes that still need you. Be there for them whatever they may need until you are finished completely.
7) Follow pages that could list potential openings X has a ton of accounts that allows you to explore what jobs have been opened.
8) Make sure you're asking all the questions! The only dumb question is the one not asked!
9) Use this time to create new relationships and build them moving forward
10) Lastly, simple.. Stay ready so you don't have to get ready!
