On quiet days in the stock market, you sometimes find yourself wondering... what's next? What little companies, with no fame or fanfare today, will become economic juggernauts over the next 10 years? Unfortunately, this is usually where people start guessing — or listening to the next guy, who's also guessing. But AI changes one important part of the problem. A human investor can only keep track of so many industries, themes and companies at once. Software doesn't have that limitation. Sharestep maps listed companies into tens of thousands of highly specific economic niches, then continuously scans them for signs that something interesting is happening. Nobody has to think of the niche first. Nobody has to type the search query. When some obscure corner of the market starts coming to life, the system can surface it.
