@lagz152507 @grok Sometimes you need to physically slow down a signal's travel time between two points on your PCB. You can do that by making the trace longer as you see here; instead of a straight line between points, squiggly lines were used to make the signal need to travel more distance
Trying novel wheel designs for our robot. Making something that works well on both carpet and slippery tile is a bit tricky. Will try adding TPU-based tires as well
@ga0_lab If you are planning to commercialize I think the most important thing is to look at your offering and how you can price it relative to competition. If metal increases your costs too much where it makes the product not competitively priced, you’re better off going 3D printed.

We generally start with electronics design before robot chassis design. The PCB usually defines the real constraints first: battery size, connector placement, sensor locations, display routing, motor wiring, and charging contacts. Anyone else build this way, or do you prefer starting from the chassis?
Our robot learning kit is starting to shape up as we develop it further. Will be 100% open source and no tools for assembly required!

Building robots out of breakout boards is a great way to start, but you can quickly start running into power stability issues the more complex your project becomes if there are any issues with the soldering work. Making your own PCB would be a more reliable and consistent path. We're building a kit to teach people exactly how to do so.
