Being pro-abortion should be as politically toxic as being pro-slavery. It should be impossible to get elected taking that barbaric position. If it isn't, then we're failing in the fight for the culture. Put another way, the problem isn't that we're "too pro-life." It's that our culture is passionately pro-death. The culture — not our conviction that all human life is sacred — must change.
If you really want the fewest abortions possible, then legislating it at the national level with a single overarching ban is not a smart way that is likely to succeed. Sure, it might make you feel good, but it will only result in Dems being forever in power and more abortions. You should try a political strategy that actually has a chance of winning. You already got RvW overturned. Now chip away state by state. You can't win at the national level without first changing culture. This will take a generation, but it can't happen if you keep forfeiting elections because of your hard line principles.
@SethDillon You and your 8% of American voters don't get to dictate terms for the rest of us.
@SethDillon Murdering unborn babies should be disqualifying...full stop
@SethDillon I will never understand the joy and celebration of the right to abort babies. It is grotesque ☠️
@SethDillon Pro slavery is forcing women to give birth against their will so the US can have able bodied workers.

@SethDillon That's why they call it pro-choice and not pro-abortion.
@SethDillon Nice observation…solves nothing though. The cultures been groomed to see abortion as a human right and the solution isn’t to act as though you can just shame that out of the culture. It takes generations to change not posts on x condemning politicians who recognize this reality
@SethDillon Liberalism, on both the left and right, has transformed this nation over the last 60+ years. It’s going to take a long time to reverse the damage. Picking battles that will lose the war is not a wise strategy, especially after a political and cultural win like overturning Roe.
