TV ratings for college football were through the roof this season, very high numbers for men's hoops and especially the NCAA tourney, most watched women's final ever. Besides that no one cares.

@SethDavisHoops You just kinda proved the point by going with the network sports exec angle; which isn’t real life. I think the idea that they can be popular while in a period of change that is unhealthy is a reasonable one. It’s not one or the other.
@SethDavisHoops Watching the games doesn’t mean that college sports are in a great place. People flock to the news when they cover violence and riots and bad weather issues too Seth. Doesn’t mean the world is great when those things happen.
@SethDavisHoops The women’s final outdrew the men’s by 4 million.
@SethDavisHoops @LateKickJosh has addressed this exact comment on his show a few months back. Something about if he was offered a billion to talk about not cfb then he’d get on the show and talk about how his cfb show was never in a better place even though it wasn’t a cfb show anymore.
@SethDavisHoops Cool. So the gamblers care. If that’s the long term audience, it won’t be very long term.
@SethDavisHoops What about the "olympic" sports? How will expansion of the conferences help those student athletes when they now have to fly from New Brunswick, NJ to Los Angeles to play a women's volleyball match?
@SethDavisHoops Of course you don’t, can’t turn your back against your meal ticket.
@SethDavisHoops I agree. I feel college is not in a good place right now.
@SethDavisHoops Buddy my team’s entire top ten recruiting class just bailed after our coach left prior to his contract ending and I am not mad at anyone for it. I want them here but nobody should be forced to be somewhere they don’t want to be.
