@PennyDaflos Hello! Have you heard about the student Mia Elizabeth, a deaf, disabled student at Douglas college who relies on a service dog, is being abused and harassed by upper management of the college, after being there for 4 years. The college is violating the BC HRC.

Our advocacy has been keeping us busy to ensure that individuals that come to Canada “as a new country” don’t violate the human rights of British Columbia’s and service dog handlers.

This is yet another reason why @translink is unsafe and why service dogs are needed for the disabled. This would put a person with severe anxiety and PTSD into an extreme panic attack on transit that would require paramedics to intervene. @simonplittle @ann_luu @nafeesakarim
