Twitch users often ask what the best way to support the broadcast is. I would not be surprised if streamers straight up turned off notifications for subs and urged viewers to primarily use a third party with on screen notifs. Tread lightly twitch.

@Sequisha Funny you post this, 10 minutes ago I added to my todo list: Recode sub alerts animations to be minimalistic. Recode other support alert animations to incentivize
@Sequisha End of the day its already like that Use your prime Else patreon maybe?
@Sequisha I said pretty much the exact same thing on stream 2day abt how behaviours might change. I get asked all the time, Ive spent the last 7 yrs not wanting to say the honest truth is that paypal is the best. I felt people enjoyed the emotes etc, I didn’t wanna rain on anyones parade
@Sequisha All I need to know. More ads, taking money from content and giving it to ads. Ads.
@Sequisha twitch as usual going about trying to become profitable by being egregious instead of smarter. for example they still don’t deliver ads on non affiliate streams yet near all the costs in cdn for them. worse when big streamers use alt channels with 20k views and bare the costs.
@Sequisha I immediately thought of Gamewisp again when I read this blog post this morning
@Sequisha I wish BTTV had a subscription option for viewers and a great split for the creators. Then that would turn the tables on Twitch haha
