Unfortunately, it’s not about the money or on field performance. From what I’m told, it’s about job security. People don’t want to suggest it to ownership for fear of losing their job if it doesn’t work or ownership doesn’t want to do it because they think there will be some negative articles written that will cause harm to their franchise value. It would be a 3 day story, max. But in order to prove that, I need an opportunity to play. And in order to get an opportunity to play, I need to prove it. Which is why the situation is what it is right now.
As an owner I can understand the risk it comes with. But this isn’t just about taking a risk. It’s also about teaching a valuable lesson of second chances and not giving in to cancel culture. Imagine if @StevenACohen2 wasn’t allowed to buy the Mets because of what he was accused of? I hope @StevenACohen2 understands this and signs @BauerOutage
@SenorTzvi @StevenACohen2 More than that, imagine if everyone who made a mistake wasn’t allowed to learn from it, grow, and not make the same mistake in the future. What would life be like if we were all held to that standard.
@SenorTzvi Steve Cohen was accused of financial crimes, bro. These are not the same thing. Not even close.
@SenorTzvi @BauerOutage @StevenACohen2 Are you really trying to compare insider trading to alleged sexual assault? Lmao
@SenorTzvi @BauerOutage @StevenACohen2 What's the risk
@SenorTzvi @BauerOutage @StevenACohen2 So I’m guessing you have some past posts where you’re calling for the NFL to give Colin Kaepernick another chance?
@SenorTzvi @BauerOutage @StevenACohen2 Agreed. But 2nd chance isn’t right description since he committed no crime. At worst Bauer made poor personal decisions about his consensual partners. If this is what GMs and owners fear then they should openly say so.
