Justice Thomas's $267,230 RV was financed at least in part by a wealthy friend in the health care industry. It was not reported in his financial disclosures. Is this behavior consistent with the ethical guidelines Chief Justice Roberts claims the Court abides by?
@SenatorDurbin So, let’s make ALL the finances of all persons in Congress available for public review. Both sides, no redactions with the exception of home addresses and minor children’s names.
@SenatorDurbin False. All of the SCOTUS justices earn, on average, 2 $Million dollars in speaking fees a year. A $300,000 RV is easily paid for with liquid funds. Thomas did not have to FINANCE ANYTHING. And he has had that for about 20 years.
@SenatorDurbin You can impeach, but the problem is: How many of your colleagues that have become immensely wealthy while in public service want to open that Pandora’s box?
@SenatorDurbin So the dude got a loan???
@SenatorDurbin I notice you didn't say "paid for by..." You said "financed," which means Thomas borrowed money to buy the RV. Unless you have evidence that Thomas never paid it back, you're just farting in the wind.
@SenatorDurbin How much are you worth Senator Durbin ?
@SenatorDurbin This you, Dick? chicagotribune.com/news/ct-dick-d…
@SenatorDurbin Strange how a career politician becomes a millionaire on a Senator's pay. Care to explain, Dick?
