One year ago today, America watched as an unspeakable evil unfolded at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas. 19 precious, young children and two dedicated teachers lost their lives that awful and devastating day. Uvalde, Texas, and America will never forget them. 1/x
I was in Uvalde the next day at the vigil held for the victims—weeping, mourning, and praying with the community. Heidi and I are lifting up in prayer the families, friends and loved ones of the Uvalde community. 2/x
@SenTedCruz We also watched the cowardly acts of those in charge…. Many lives could have been saved that day. Many.
@SenTedCruz And you’ve done nothing since
@SenTedCruz What’s most unspeakable, is your refusal to support commonsense firearm safety legislation. If you’re not willing to act, save your tweet for someone that actually cares to act in the best interest of the children and the public are supposed to serve.
@SenTedCruz God can’t hear your thoughts anymore over the sound of ar 15 fire. We saw how good the police were against an assault weapon at Uvalde. The Uvalde victims and our children that count on us to keep them safe in school deserve more. Work on that instead of waging culture wars.
@SenTedCruz Serious questions, I support rights guaranteed under the 2nd amendment but are there any reasonable limitations? For example can individuals own Patriot missile defense system?
@SenTedCruz How about doing something positive in their names?
