In my view, an asthma inhaler that is sold to the Canadian people for just $27 should not cost the American people $242. Period.
@SenSanders All due respect, you should just get busy on voting rights. I understand you will be sidestepping the filibuster again this week for economic reasons. Looks pretty easy. Why aren’t you working toward protecting our democracy?
@SenSanders Interesting choice of words. You know it’s still sold to “the Canadian people” for $242. It’s just that the tax payers pay for the majority of it. That’s what you are trying to do here. Lower the cost of pharmaceuticals, by raising taxes on every single person in this country.
@SenSanders Sounds like Canada’s national healthcare program works better than the program we don’t have in the US
@SenSanders How did America end up with a healthcare system where quality care comes at a horrendous price? Universal healthcare means you have one very stressful worry lifted from your shoulders. Americans have enough to stress about, so why on earth wouldn't they embrace it?
@SenSanders Maybe if Congress didn't send 3.8 billion to Israel yearly and work another $300+ billion to various other countries into recent "covid stimulus bills" our country could have a better healthcare system than the one we have that forces us to pay for overpriced medications.
@SenSanders Some general secretary for congress writes these.
@SenSanders Bernie, I live in Canada. You can have the American dream, but still benefit from Democratic socialism. If people say they believe in the American dream but don’t support each other, they are not American. Americans should be united in their healthcare system.
@SenSanders What about third world countries? Is it fine there?
@SenSanders That’s absolutely right and logical unless the USA wants to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. There must be social and economic justice.
