High blood pressure usually has no warning signs or symptoms, so it's important to visit your GP and have your blood pressure measured. This morning, I spoke about my personal experience with high blood pressure at the Parliamentary Friends of Heart and Stroke Foundations.
The National Hypertension Taskforce today released its first roadmap to improve #bloodpressure control rates in Australia. Only 32% of Australians have their #hypertension under control and the Taskforce is aiming to double that figure to 70% by 2030. #hypertensionawareness
@SenRaffCiccone @strokefdn @heartfoundation @HypertensionAus Thanks for sharing your personal experience of high blood pressure. As the silent killer of 25,000 deaths a year, it’s important to remind all Australians to get their blood pressure checked. @alta_schutte @KerryDozheart @kovacic_jason @gemtreee
@SenRaffCiccone @OzCvA @strokefdn @heartfoundation @HypertensionAus Great for you to join us and to hear your personal story @SenRaffCiccone - which aligns extremely well with our recent report in the @FinancialReview on what men under 50 should do at their next GP visit #checkyourpressure #HypertensionTaskforce afr.com/life-and-luxur…
