Day 17 of #100DaysOfCode Sunday- I started reading through react docs from the beginning, made notes on it, hopefully it will sink in ! - also had a look at JS arrow functions and practiced/ followed along with dev dreamer on YT - super helpful!

Day 16 of #100DaysOfCode It’s Saturday and decided to go over all basic javascript rather than delve into react. Worked on arrays, objects, functions, if statements and now feel much better looking at code in general 👍🏽

Day 15 of #100DaysOfCode Hackathon Friday was a mad one, created a to do list app with my lovely team using react: components, props etc 🤯🤯 need to re-read the docs and go over the whole week !

Day 14 of #100DaysOfCode Today we used arrays in react to store and manipulate data. Learnt about mutable and immutable arrays. Also used .map method to iterate over an array. And slice method to create a new array from an existing array.

Day 13 of #100DaysOfCode Today we covered the difference between imperative / declarative code.  imperative focuses on writing an explicit sequence of commands to describe how you want to do things, and declarative code focuses on specifying the result of what you want.

Day 10 of #100DaysOfCode I took a couple of days off coding for Easter :D - Today we had a group study session creating a function in JS - I created a new kata which I'll test tomorrow - Also did some revision on Jest testing

Day 12 of #100DaysOfCode -Worked on playwright testing, managed to get my tests to pass! hooray ! Also, I started learning about React using react.dev

Day 10 of #100DaysOfCode Had a brilliant mindset session on how to deal with your inner critic - make your inner champion louder !! Also Worked on playwright testing for our hackathon and cracked a code wars challenge !

UI and acceptance tests test the entire system and are more complex to carry out.

Day 9 of #100DaysOfCode This week is all about testing! UNIT tests are at the foundation of all tests- they test isolated pieces of code like a single function, INTEGRATION tests multiple units of code to see if they work together and at the top of the pyramid are UI tests

Day 8 of #100DaysOfCode We used all our UI, UX knowledge, wireframes on figma and user flow journeys and personas to create our very own bootcamp. This was an amazing day and the first hackathon I've really enjoyed from start to finish!

Day 7 of #100DaysOfCode UI design - successful UI( user interface) design carefully considers all the elements and principles of design. Learnt how to create wireframes And used variables in CSS for cohesive styling 😅

Day 6 of #100DaysOfCode Today we focused on UX design; User eXperience and the 5 stage design process, Also the importance of user stories, user personas and UCD(user-centred design) so the focus is always on the user.

Day 5 of #100DaysOfCode Today was truly a great day, understanding the difference between UI and UX designer - FYI they’re not the same thing. listened to a talk by an industry expert - so interesting! And finally learnt what agile frameworks are - a brilliant way of working

Day 4 of #100DaysOfCode Today we started learning about - APIs - how one piece of software can interact with another. - synchronous programming where the code runs in the order it is written - asynchronous - 1 task isn't dependent on another. Tasks can run simultaneously.

Day 3 of #100DaysOfCode Today was all about the DOM - Document Object Model. -Learned that we can use javascript to change what we see on our browser. - Learned how to create new elements and functions in jS - created code wars account and completed a few challenges

Day 2 of #100DaysOfCode I watched JavaScript for beginner tutorials to learn more about correct syntax, I revised if else statements, logical operators (===) and operator shorthands. (-=) I'm feeling slightly more confident about javascript compared to last week.
