I reached out to a contact at NFL Network. They told @FightfulSelect they wanted Tony Khan on and knew it would get attention after the photos of he in the neckbrace went viral last night. It was also indicated to us that NFL Network and the hosts received the appearance well, despite the controversial line
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect Of course they did. Because it was hilarious and awesome
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect Yeah, the nfl needs to capitalize on aew 😂😂😂😂 they literally laughed at him and cut him off live on tv…..but my sources 🙄
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect That being said, commentary did seem to be visibly uncomfortable with him plugging his shows on TBS/TNT, as well as the odd comment. Just pointing that out.
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect Either way that line caught them off guard for sure
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect I'm 100% certain that the usuals will hate this, but Bischoff woulda done it in 30 seconds if possible
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect Interested if they put it on their socials/website. That’s a fair bit of extra impressions to leave on the table for them (not that they’re hurting).
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect To quote ol' Bischoff, controversy creates cash.
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect Good for TK, wwe is the always Harvey winstein of wrestling
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect Cool, but I'm still not watching, Tony Khan is the worst thing about AEW.
@SeanRossSapp @FightfulSelect I don’t think this is going to be the positive type of publicity… x.com/notmarkwrestli…
